One Woman's Trash = Another Woman's Treasure

This was a very hectic week work-wise, so my mom and I decided to head to a thrift store on Tuesday night for a little treasure hunting. The particular thrift store we visited was a new experience for me because it was an outlet thrift store. I had never heard of a thrift outlet before. One interesting feature was that they charge you by the pound. Larger items and clothing are priced separately. If you have over 50 pounds in your cart it is only 40 cents per pound (compared to only 65 cents for less than 50 pounds). They have lots of furniture with great potential. I found a dresser that will become my new DIY project! The best part? It was only $30! Buuut I will post pictures of that another day. These are the vintage finds that I purchased on my first thrift outlet visit!

Several vintage books, including Pinnochio, Gulliver's Travels, and a book of poems by Voltaire. I also found this adorable owl! It was love at first sight!

This amber colored glass bowl immediately caught my attention

2 records to display (Sound of Music & Mary Poppins)

This Avon cologne bottle that functions as an actual "Paid" Stamp

Another Avon perfume bottle (Milk glass hand), Vintage cake topper, and a pair of old glasses!

An old (coverless) magazine filled with amazing photos to frame!

Ta Da! My shelf in my living room is currently featuring my new finds!

This is a necklace I picked up about a month ago at Forever 21 for only $8.80! I love the vintage flowers and charms!
